What is the past participle or simple of "spring"? Is it;
- springed
- sprung
- sprang
- sprought
- spromething else?
Mainly about the practice of teaching and the experience of learning.
Used to be "Recent Reflection", but I've given up on the "reflection" business--it's so dilute, it's homeopathic.
2. If I remember my Latin and French correctly, sprung is the past participle as in, 'was anyone sprung from prison?' while sprang is the past tense 'He sprang from prison'.
ReplyDeletePeople who get 'rung' and 'rang' mixed up really annoy me ('I rung him', shudder) - almost as much as this caller to the San Francisco Chronicle. But not quite as bad...
Now if you'd asked the same question of 'hang' it'd be a whole different kettle of fish.
